Biographies

Completed her Diploma for Instrumental pedagogy at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1997 and her Bachelor degree in singing at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, in 2000, where she studied with Lenie van der Heuvel, Wout Oosterkamp and Gerda van Zelm.
She has followed courses and master classes for the Style and Interpretation of Early Music with Jill Feldman, Marius van Altena, Michael Schopper and Richard Wistreich, and for Modern Music and Improvisation by Ton Hartsuiker, Inge Fröhlich, Greetje Bijma, Isabelle Ganz, Barbara Hannigan, Claron McFadden, the Neue Vokalsolisten Stuttgart and the Nederlands Vocaal Laboratorium (2002-2004, since then member). She is currently coached by Ronald Klekamp.
Her main interest is to explore the posibilities and limitations of the voice - occasionaly in combination with actions or movements - on the basis of vocal experiments. Her search for different timbres and corresponding vocal expressivity is always linked to fine taste and sense of style regarding the repertory to be performed: medieval, renaissance, baroque, classic or contemporary.

Studied Composition in the Catholic University of Chile and Sonology at The Royal Conservatory of The Hague (NL) His Compositions, that include pure electronic and electro acoustic mixed media have been performed in Europe, North and South America in festivals such as “RUMOR” (NL), “Primavera en La Habana” (Cuba), “Synthese “(FR) “Sonorities” (Belfast, UK), NWEAMO ( USA) and have been awarded at the Bourges Electroacoustic Music Competitions of 2003 and 2004. His recent collaborations/projects include live electronics for dance, silent movies, and performances with musicians like Richard Barrrett, Anne Faulborn and Yutaka Makino. He is founder and active member of The Electronic Hammer, a Computer and Percussion Music Ensemble devoted to the promotion, creation and diffusion of the music of the XXI century. They have support of The Gaudeamus Foundation and The Institute of Sonology of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.

Cora Schmeiser (Alemania, 1970) Completó su Diploma para pedagogía instrumental en el Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, en Frankfurt, Alemania, en 1997 y su Licenciatura canto en el Conservatorio Real de la Haya, Holanda en el 2000, donde estudió con Lenie van der Heuvel, Wout Oosterkamp y Gerda van Zelm.
Ha seguido cursos y clases magistrales para la interpretación y estilo de la música antigua con Jill Feldman, Marius van Altena, Michael Schopper and Richard Wistreich, y para musica moderna e improvisación con Ton Hartsuiker, Inge Fröhlich, Greetje Bijma, Isabelle Ganz, Barbara Hannigan, Claron McFadden, the Neue Vokalsolisten Stuttgart and the Nederlands Vocaal Laboratorium (2002-2004, miembro estable). Actualmente trabaja con Ronald Klekamp.
Su principal interes es el explorar las posibilidades y limitaciones de la voz humana, ocasionalmente en combinación con acciones y movimientos, tomando como base experimentos vocales. Su búsqueda por timbres diferentes esta siempre conectada a resultados refinados y a una consciencia del estilo a ejecutar, sea este medieval, renacentista, barroco, clásico o contemporáneo.

Juan Parra Cancino (Chile, 1979) Compositor. Creador de Entornos Sonoros Electrónicos, Improvisador y Guitarrista.Estudió composición en la Universidad Católica de Chile y Sonología en El Conservatorio Real de La Haya (Holanda). Sus composiciones, que incluyen piezas electrónicas y obras mixtas para instrumentos solistas y ensambles y electrónica han sido estrenadas en Europa , Norte y Sudamérica en festivales como “Terza Prattica” (Holanda) “Primavera en La Habana” (Cuba), “Sonorities” (Belfast, UK), NWEAMO (USA) y han sido seleccionadas y premiadas en recientes ediciones del Bourges Electroacoustic Music Competition (2003 y 2004). Como guitarrista ha participado en diversos seminarios de GuitarCraft, formando parte de diversos ensambles relacionados tales como el Berlin Guitar Ensemble, Ensamble de Guitarras de Buenos Aires, y, recientemente, The League of Crafty Guitarists. Sus Colaboraciones mas recientes incluyen musica electrónica en vivo para danza, cine mudo y projectos con músicos como Richard Barrett, Anne Faulborn, Johan van Kreij y Yutaka Makino). Es fundador y miembro activo de ‘The Electronic Hammer’, trío de percusión y computadoras dedicado a la creación, promoción y difusión de música para el siglo XXI.
